Rackhouse, a data center real estate firm, has announced the launch of MyRackFinder.com, a subsidiary of Rackhouse.

The so-called “revolutionary” client-side Internet search application provides options for companies of any size wishing to store their critical data in secure off-site colocation facilities, company officials said.

An interactive Web site, MyRackFinder.com provides organizations the ability to search for suitable colo space across the United States. It matches companies and organizations looking for colo space with colo owners/operators throughout the U.S.

With MyRackFinder.com, companies and organizations can clearly understand their “colo” requirements, said officials. This will help create a competitive environment amongst suitable colocation contenders and allow them to compete for those requirements, according to officials.

Moreover, MyRackFinder.com provides customers search and analysis tools that give them the ability to make the “best budget driven decisions,” said officials.

Martin Peck, president at MyRackFinder.com, expects that MyRackFinder.com will impact an organization’s ability to secure their critical data overnight.

He said that company’s primary goal in creating this platform was to make it easy to understand and easy to use whether customer is a small business owner, a CIO or an IT consultant, and whether the needs are half a rack of space or several racks in a stand-alone cage.

To begin using MyRackFinder.com, the user has to first define the requirement by selecting the “get started” tab on the MyRackFinder.com home page, said officials. After the request has been submitted, the completed requirement request form is sent to company along with user’s contact information.

After the company receives the information, it will send the user a transaction process chart and also an extensive list of landlord “Gotcha’s” that he/she should avoid. Officials said that company maintains a national database of colo providers throughout U.S., and once it receives the information that defines the requirements and desired location, it’s send to the colo providers within the defined location.

Rackhouse helps organizations locate, analyze and secure data center space. Company officials said that it has a “unique” understanding of both real estate and technology.
